Lillestrom return to MPF Marbella
It was a pleasure to welcome Lillestrom back to our training camp.
The group arrived in Marbella on the 27th of March, at 16.00hrs, and
were keen to get straight to the training centre. Their flight arrived
half an hour early, and they realized that they could squeeze in an
hour of training so they headed straight for the MPF Centre.
The group had a busy schedule planned for the rest of their stay:
training twice a day from 10.30-12.00hrs and 16.00-17.30hrs. We also
organized 2 friendly games for them, the first against Algeciras (2nd
division Spain) and the second against Follo (2nd division Norway)
The results of these matches were as follows:
Lillestrom vs. Algeciras - 3 - 2 to Lillestrom
Lillestrom vs. Follo – 3 – 1 to Follo
The rest of their stay went very smoothly, and although it rained
heavily for three days, the group were very impressed with the drainage
system on the MPF pitches, as they were still fully functional. As
it turned out, the MPF Centre had the only pitches on the coast that
weren’t flooded.
