Charlton
A.F.C. UK Premier league
On the 21st March we were very pleased to welcome Charlton
Football club, for their first visit to the MPF centre. They arrived,
quite tired on Sunday afternoon; after a hard game against Newcastle
United the day before.
From our selection of hotels, the team chose to stay at the 5 star
Hotel Westin La Quinta, and arrived to check in at around 15.00hrs.
The team was in Spain to relax, as well as to train, and many of the
group took advantage of the superb La Quinta golf course situated
at the hotel.
The team chose to train just once a day for 2 hours, which allowed
them time to relax and enjoy the fantastic weather.
On their last evening the group decided on dinner at the famous Tony
Dalli’s Restaurant in Marbella. Rumour has it that some of the
group even got up and joined in a song or two with the owner, Tony
Dalli, a famous singer from Italy.
The whole trip was a success and we were pleased to demonstrate that
teams can enjoy relaxing and beneficial training camps in Southern
Spain. We wish the team lots of success for the future, and hope to
welcome them to the Costa del Sol again.
